What is it?
Myofascial release is a manipulative treatment that attempts to release tension in the fascia due to trauma, posture, or inflammation. Connective tissues called fascia surround the muscles, bones, nerves, and organs of the body.
How I use it
I Intergrate fascial release protocols into each of my treatment in one way or another. Fascial release is amazing at the beginning of a treatment to reduce the intensity of manual therapy needed on soft tissues to get to the muscle layer, tight fascia can often be misdiagnosed as tight muscles so it’s important to eliminate any fascial restriction as a first step.
