What is it?
Sports massage is a form of therapy involving the manipulation of soft tissue to benefit a person engaged in regular physical activity. The application of sports massage, prior to and after exercise, may enhance performance, aid recovery and prevent injury.
How I use it
I believe anyone can benefit from sports therapy treatment, not just those engaging in regular activity. Each client that I see performs regular movement in some shape or form and even those that lead sedentary lives or have office jobs where they sit for 8 hours a day are in even more need to this type of treatment to keep muscles supple, and joints mobile.
